*DON'T DIE PT5*

*And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil*."

We have seen that what led to madam Eve and the prodigal son to so what they did is called "Inordinate desire" a desire that is not necessary and a desire that make one to take what belongs to him or her when he or she does not need it and as such leads to self destruction or stealing what actually belong to you.

Today i want us to take a look at what is called "entitlement mentality" what is entitlement mentality? Entitlement mentality is when one believes that they deserve special treatment. When one needs something and fell that it must be now or never. Whenever there is an entitlement mentality the following are bound to occur.

Whenever there is entitlement mentality the person or individual tends to disregard the rules. Can you imagine the prodigal son telling the father to share his property while he was still alive and it is possible that the father gave him his entitlement to avoid being killed by the boy because the boy could have probably done something to get what he wanted and the only thing that he needed to do to get what he wanted was to kill his father.

Loss of sense of reason. Let us take the life of madam Eve for instance. Everything was under her care and control, she had a lot of trees that she will never finish eating yet she became so interested in this particular one. The question is "has she ever seen even God that gave her all those thing using them? If God has not eaten of it then why must you be the first to eat of it.

This can then lead to misunderstanding because if the giver refused to give you you will fail to reason with him and no matter the genuineness of his or her reason or reasons it will no longer make meanings to you because that is not what you want to hear.

As it was in the days of madam Eve and the prodigal son so it is also in our time even when the procedure or the method varies but the aim and the end result remains the same.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord will so transform you to the point that those that mocked you will begin to see the undeniable and miraculous hand of God in your life by the power in the name of Jesus
