*CHARACTER BETRAYS PT12* 

*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden*'?" 
*Gen 3:1*

Bro Paul was telling us the other day that bad company ruins good morals and characters and we are not unaware of the fact that it was one of the instruments that the serpent used to destroy the life and destiny of madam Eve. Like Mongo Park the serpent went, saw and conquered. 

Today i want us to see what king David will say concerning what happened between madam Eve and the serpent reason being that we want to see it from many perspectives and then know how to avoid the visit of the serpent anytime any day 

*Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night*. *Ps 1:1-2*.

It is a known fact that madam Eve was fulfilling the second part of our text that made the serpent to come visiting in the first place. Madam Eve was busy meditating on the laws of the Lord and taking delight in them when all of a sudden the serpent came uninvited.

The mistake that madam Eve made is in the first part of our passage, first of all she listened to the counsel of the ungodly which is the serpent and as if that was not enough she went ahead to stand with the serpent making out time to be deceived well and even sat with the serpent to listen more as the serpent scornfully talk about God.

King David is saying that if you can avoid the advise of the wicked serpent, make sure you don't stay in their part to that you don't take part in the instructions that leads to destruction and then avoid anything that will bring you and them together that you are going to live a life that is blessed and i know without doubt that it is the kind of life that you and i want.

I pray for you and with you that you and i will live the kind of life that will make us to be truly blessed to the point that all that will see us will know that we are a people blessed by the Lord by the power in the name of Jesus.
