*CHARACTER BETRAYS PT10* 

*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden*'?" 
*Gen 3:1*

We have been led to see about four areas(curiousness, attention, distractions and external influence) of our lives that the serpent used against Eve and it worked for it and the serpent is still and will continue to use against us too and all of us are falling for it though we blame madam Eve but we are doing worse things than madam Eve did may God help us in this generation in the name of Jesus.

Today we are going to consult bro John to give us a summary of all that transpired between madam Eve and the serpent so let us hear from him.
*For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world*. *1Jn 2:16*.

Bro John the beloved grouped everything that happened between madam Eve and the serpent into into three. 1 The lust of the flesh. 2 The lust of the eye and the pride of life.

The tree was there before the serpent came but madam Eve was not bothered about what is in the tree because she has more than enough trees in the garden and she was not lacking anything that she may look for in the tree but when the serpent came it made her to fell that what she had was not good enough or not up to what she was supposed to have. Can you imagine.


It made madam Eve to begin to try to see the tree from a different dimension thereby leading her to eating what she was not supposed to eat. The next one is the lust of the flesh. The moment she looked at the tree with the lust to have it her body then started craving for it and eventually she went for it because she wants to satisfy her body.


The last one is the pride of life. The moment madam Eve was made to believe that God lied to her she started looking for a way to proof to God that she too can disobey God and nothing will happen since God is a cheat. The question is; you are trying to revolt against God for what you fell is injustice how much did you pay for what you have for you to claim justice?

The lust of the flesh speaks of excessive craving for something even if you don't need it, the lust of the eyes speaks of you trying to have it by all means and the pride of life speak of getting it either by hook or by crook the most important thing is that you have it.(trying to proof and to impress people)

I pray for you and with you that you will not labour for what you don't need or what will never add value to your life by the power in the name of Jesus.
