*CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON PT7*

*Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel*. *Is 7:14*.

We have been seeing that been close to God or obeying or observing religious rites is not a sign that you know God and we went ahead to see that it is not about fellings, it is not about what we see and not about what people told us but by deliberate and committed desire to know him.

*That I may know him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death*. *Phil 3:10*.
St Paul speaking to the Philippian church stated his desire to know Jesus and the God that raised him from the dead and to have fellowship(constant determination to know him more and more). To be in league with them and be part of all that concerns Him.

In other words he does not want his knowledge of the person of God to end in clapping or shivering or in shouting but to have enough proof for people to know that he actually knows God. He doesn't want to tell people that he knows God but wants people to know that he knows God by his lifestyle.

For him he doesn't want his exploit in and for the kingdom to make it look like he has known God already apart from the way he wants to know God, he doesn't want his knowing God to be based on what he was thought. He desired to grow deeper and deeper in knowing God.

For him rehearsing what he has been taught or known is not a sign of deeper knowledge of God or a sign of having a healthy relationship with Him. He longs a kind of relationship where he will be convinced that he truly knows God 

I pray for you and with you that whatever you need to end this year well be delivered to you now by the power in the name of Jesus
