*And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil*.
 *Gen 2:9*.

You cannot live in delight and pleasure and not have joy infact the reason i believe why it is called a delight and pleasure is because there was aboundance of joy there in other words God made a place of delight and pleasure for man because he wants man to be joyful all the days of his life so that as He is so shall we be.

In essence Eden was an open place so that it cam always enjoy the presence of God, it is a place where the presence of manifest fully because in his presence joy flows like a river.
*You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore*. *Ps 16:11*.
As long as we choose to follow the path of God, joy and gladness will be the order of the day and not just joy but joy in its fullness.

The place of delight and pleasure was to make man serve God out of love as we have said before and not out of compulsion therefore not serving the Lord with joy and gladness becomes an act of rebellion 
"*Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything*, *Deut 28:47*

Let me quickly say it here that joy is different from happiness, yes you heard me right, happiness is as a result of what is happening around you but joy comes from fulfillment and satisfaction. Eden was created to give man fulfillment and satisfaction that was why man was not in want of anything until he was deceived.

I pray for you and with you that in so far as you are not created to be wasted that any power, kingdom or personality that wants to waste your life or whatever that belongs to you will be wasted by the power in the name of Jesus.
