*YOU NEED REST PT 22*

*Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made*. 
*Gen 2:1-3*.


We started by looking at God resting on the seventh day after sanctifying it and blessing it and we said that he blessed it and sanctified it because it is meant to be his day, and as a holy God that he is, it follows that his day should be like no other.

One thing is to seek God and another is to know how to enter into his presence and so today king David is going to be teaching us how to seek God and how to enter into his presence so as to find Him.
*Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name*. *Ps 100:3-4*.

Here king David is telling us to first of all acknowledge God as God first anytime that we are seeking him. You and i can tell from experience that king David loves to know God personally hence he tries to see to it that we have a personal relationship with God.

Do you remember this kind of message from the letter to the Hebrews which we treated before? The passage told us that he that must come to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those that seek Him.

The author of the letter to the Hebrews did not tell us to seek God with the intention of being rewarded but that He exist which is born out of love and personal relationship It is only when you believe that he exists that you will then receive His reward because then you know what God can do.

So king David said that the condition of seeing God is to enter His gate with thanksgiving and when you have done that you can then enter and when you have entered you can then proceed to enter his court with praise. With these two tools you can seek God and find Him. *TRY AM*.

I pray for you and with you that the God of glory will do a new thing that will make you never to remember all the ugly things that has ever happened in your life and may this new thing wipe away all that will make you have a reoccurrence of those former ugly things in the name of Jesus.
