*YOU NEED REST *

*Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made*. *Gen 2:1-3*.

Having seen how God rested after He had done all that he needed to do the Bible said that He blessed the day that He rested and hallowed it it said it was because it was the day that He rested.

God rested and then set the day apart for you and i to rest too but unfortunately many of us don't rest until they are said to rest in peace. The day which God hallowed and made to be a day of rest is supposed to be hallowed by us too by resting and using it to worship the God that made it so.

God knew that the day will come when people will seek his face, so He then created a day for that so that men can worship him without stress and worry for work since He has made six days for them to work and a day for Himself and not just for Himself but for man to rest as well.

Unfortunately even when God blessed and sanctified the seventh day to be a day of rest and a day to have fellowship with man many have turned that seventh day to be a day of left over work.

Many use the six day and reserve more than enough work for the seventh day especially those works that can be done at home and those of us that trade on essential commodities.

Many too have turned it to be a day of meetings. Many of us can't stay in the presence of God(church) for more than an hour because they have a lot of meetings to attend on the seventh day.

What was made to be for rest and to be with God has turned to be the busiest day for so many especially now that religion has been watered down to be a fellowship of convenience

I pray for you and with you that you will not miss what you should meet and not meet what you should miss in the name of Jesus.
