*YOU NEED REST PT2 *

*Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made*. *Gen 2:1-3*.

We started looking at why God had to set the seventh day apart and not just that He also sanctified it and blessed it unlike every other day He created so today we will continue to look at why God rested on that day, blessed it and sanctified it.

We said yesterday that because God always knows the end from the beginning that He must have intended that the seventh day will be a day of fellowship between Him and man.

"*Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it*. 
*Ex 20:8-11*.

Our God is a God of relationship and He has always had it in mind to have a relationship with man at all times hence He set out a day specially not that we will not have relationships with Him in the other days but for the very fact that man must work he gave Him the opportunity to work and set out a day for Him and man.

The seventh day can be likened to a man taking his wife out forr date, it doesn't happen every day but once in a while so the seventh day is like a day that God choose to take you and i out to his house inorder to have one on one relationship with us.

 If God choose to give us an example by resting on the seventh day and by blessing it and sanctifying it and asked us to do same why should we not do same in respect to God and use the opportunity to come closer to God?

I pray for you and with you that the sun of righteousness will shine on you to bring about healing and restoration upon your life by the power in the name of Jesus.
