*YOU ARE UNIQUE PT16*

*Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth*." 
*Gen 1:26*.

In our last episode of this article we tried to look at what it means to have dominion and we said that what God gave to us is dominion and not a kingdom and we went further to said that a dominion is a domain under a kingdom. God is the king of this kingdom and we are the princess that He has mandated to exercise dominion in this domain called earth.

We also said that Dominion is simply the power to direct, control, use and dispose of at pleasure; right of possession and use without being accountable. So we have been given the power to control things and not things controlling us.

By the Dominion mandate we have the right to direct(plant) trees and crops where we want them to be(work) we also have the right to control things to make sure that everything is in order, and we also have the right to use trees and animals for our own good.

As managers of the earth according to the plans of God we have rights and privileges and those rights and privileges are what we call the dominion mandate. This right enables us to use anything Within our reach for our own good and not to abuse or waste it.

This rights and privileges does not in anyway give us the right to worship creation instead of the creator. Many people worship trees, iron, moulded images and so on and so forth instead of worshipping the creator.

The dominion mandate also gives us the privilege to protect and preserve nature and not to destroy it as many do today through illegal bush burnings and the likes and so forth.

The dominion mandate also entails that we appreciate God for giving us all that He has given us(trees, fruits, vegetables, animals for meat etc) by worshipping Him and use them to the glory of God.

The dominion mandate also gives us the privilege to love one another so that we can collaborate and cooperate to make the earth a better place after the mind of God.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave.
