*FAITH NUGGET*

*YOU ARE UNIQUE PT12*

*Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth*." 
*Gen 1:26*.

Yesterday we were saying that for us to be like God who made us in His image and likeness that we must be holy and we tried to see what holiness all about and to buttress that even God Himself had to remind us that he is holy. 
*Lev 20:26*. *And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine*.

Today we want to look at another dimension of God. The bible told us that God is love.
*He who does not love does not know God, for God is love*. *1Jn 4:8*.

St John is telling us that God does not love but that He is love personified. Unfortunately in our world of today the word love is the most abused word. It is mostly used to manipulate or to cheat others and as the easiest way to deceive unsuspecting fellows.

But St John went ahead to tell us how we are to make other fell this love that is supposed to be part of our lives.
*No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us*. *Jn 4:12*.

Inorder words the love we express towards others is a sign that we carry the likeness of God. The only way to proof that we are like God is to love one another and the only way to proof that we love God is to love one another also.
*If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also*. *Jn 4:20-21*.

I pray for you that love for God and neighbour will fill your heart so that you will constantly draw closer to God and be the expression of who God really is to our world in Jesus name.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again. He was victorious for you and i.
