*BEGIN WITH GOD PT27*
(*38TH DAY OF OUR BEGINNING WITH GOD*)


*Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth*. 
*Gen 1:16-17*.

Am being led by the spirit of God to buttress the very fact that you and i need to shine so today we will be looking at Jesus our model as we make up our mind to shine.

The first thing that we are going to be looking at today is to encourage us to connect to Jesus who is the real light and light personified and this is my reason for saying so.
*Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me*. *Jn 15:4*.

How can we connect to Jesus genuinely? By believing in Him, loving Him, serving Him, by obeying His words, by worshipping Him and by making Him the Lord and master of all that we do and say.

Why would we connect to Jesus because we are talking about light?
*In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light. That was the true light which gives light to every man coming into the world*. *Jn 1;4-9*.

Here we are made to understand that Jesus is our source of light. Secondly we were also made to understand that John is not the light. The big question now is "who is this light?"
*Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life*." *Jn 8:12*.

Did you notice that He did not say "i am like?" He was emphatic *i am the light" Remember that whenever you disconnect from the source that you will lack resources.

I pray for you that God will give you the grace to be connected and be rooted in Christ Jesus all the day of your life in Jesus name Amen.

*OUR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PROGRAME*.

By way of encouraging ourselves to start the year with God we started a prayer and fasting programme to enable us to wait on God and we outlined the following as a guide.

1. Start with prayer and fasting. It may be for 7, 21 or 40 days with fasting lasting as much as 6:00am to 12:00, 03:00, or 06:00pm.
 
2. Choose the one that will be convinient for you. The most important thing here is consistency and total commitment to do it well and to the glory of God.

3. Make sure that you are not doing it to please any man or under duress or compulsion or as a ritual.

4. Read the bible as much as you can not as a literature but with some level of reflection.

5. Try to go through this reflection daily as it will help in your spiritual growth. And God helping me I will be dropping some prayer point as well.

6. Pray the prayer points and don't just read them please.

It is my earnest desire that we continue to grow in the Lord until we all grow to full maturity in Christ.

*PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY* (*OUR PROGRAMME TO START THE YEAR*)

1. Precious Father, I pray that good things continue to follow me and members of my family wherever we go in this year in Jesus' name.

2. Lord, i pray that You make this year favor filled for me and my family and a year of divine exaltation, in Jesus' name.

3. Father, I pray that Your Words and promises will be fulfilled in my life in this year, in Jesus' name.

4. My God, I pray that every closed door against the realization of our dreams, purposes and visions: be opened by the fire of the Holy Ghost, in the might name of Jesus Christ.

5. In the name of Jesus Christ, I cancel every plans of the enemies against my life in Jesus name.

Lord, i receive grace to manifest your glory in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen!!!!!!!

Once and again dearly beloved we continue to give thanks to the Lord for the great things that He has done and He alone can do especially for the greater things that He will still do for us and members of our families.
