*BEGIN WITH GOD PT26*

(*37TH DAY OF OUR BEGINNING WITH GOD*)

*Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth*. 

*Gen 1:16-17*.

Congratulations dear for joining us thus far. just few days to go. God is our strength.

We have seen how the heavenly bodies existed in their space and time and how they all helped each other to be their best and till date they continue to be their best because they decide to each other keeper and the good news is that you and i are the beneficiaries of these their cooperation.

Let us now take a look at you and i who are the beneficiaries of these great light. Remember that we said that if these are great light that we are greater but greater what? Check this out.

"*You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden*. *Math 5:14*.

So permit me to say that you are a greater light and if a greater light the question now is "how.much are you shinning?" Just as these bodies were set in the heavenly so also you are set on a hill.

Many of us are not shinning because others or many around us are not shinning. Many of us are not shinning because we allow the shine of other to make us look irrelevant and as such refuse to shine or reduce our shine.

I know that you will ask me " how do i shine?" You can shine hu doing what is good and right. You can shine by doing justice, you can shine by abstaining from idolatry, fornication, adultery, and other sins. You can shine by speaking up for the oppressed, you can shine by helping the poor the list go on and on.

Every light is expected to shine and so your refusal to shine will leave the world darker, your refusal to shine will make you not to fulfill purpose in life and your refusal to shine will make many who are depending on you not to shine.

There is a demand from you to shine because if you shine and i shine too the world will become a better place. You are required to shine as much as i am not minding those that refuse to shine rather let our shine compel them to shine and not keep them from shining.

I pray for you and with you that in this year that the God that delivered Shedrach Meshach and Abednego from the fiery furnace will visit you and rescue you from every ugly situation bedeviling your life and destiny in Jesus name.

*OUR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PROGRAME*.

By way of encouraging ourselves to start the year with God we started a prayer and fasting programme to enable us to wait on God and we outlined the following as a guide.

1. Start with prayer and fasting. It may be for 7, 21 or 40 days with fasting lasting as much as 6:00am to 12:00, 03:00, or 06:00pm.

 

2. Choose the one that will be convinient for you. The most important thing here is consistency and total commitment to do it well and to the glory of God.

3. Make sure that you are not doing it to please any man or under duress or compulsion or as a ritual.

4. Read the bible as much as you can not as a literature but with some level of reflection.

5. Try to go through this reflection daily as it will help in your spiritual growth. And God helping me I will be dropping some prayer point as well.

6. Pray the prayer points and don't just read them please.

It is my earnest desire that we continue to grow in the Lord until we all grow to full maturity in Christ.

*PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY* (*OUR PROGRAMME TO START THE YEAR*)

1. Lord, as i begin to pray let all Powers in my father's house troubling my life from achieving my glory, die, in Jesus name.

2. O God of Elijah, arise in your power, set me free from hidden covenant of successive worship in my lineage in Jesus name.

3. Evil pronouncement from the idol alter of worshippers in my father's house expired in Jesus name.

4. Destructive words from the power house and evil oracles that if I break its covenant I will die, let me go and die by fire, in Jesus name.

5. Every renewal of idol worship in my father's house I separate myself from you in Jesus name.
