*BEGIN WITH GOD PT24*

*Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth*. 
*Gen 1:16-17*.

We have seen how the heavenly bodies occupied their space in time and each of them mattered when it mattered most and we said that the reason why they were able to put up their best was that they collaborated and cooperated.

I will like us to look at some things that may likely hinder us this year if we engage in them by taking a look at the ways the heavenly bodies existed.

1. UNHEALTHY COMPETITION. Do you want to live unhappy this year? If your answer is yes then the best way to do that is to begin to compete with every dick, tom and Harry. Competitions that are not necessary will keep you unhappy and unsatisfied. It will lead you to jealousy and back bitting, complaints and unsatisfied.

Unhealthy competition will only make you to look at the things that you don't have thereby neglecting the ones that you have thereby not maximizing your potentials. There is a competition that you are free to engage in and that is how to better yourself and using what others have achieved to challenge yourself. This kind of competition does not lead to envy and jealousy.

2. WISHING TO BE OTHERS. Another thing that is so visible in the life of the heavenly bodies is that none of them were wishing to be the other. It is good enough to try to be like others in terms of exploit but wanting to be others will only make you to forget yourself.

The more you want to be like others the more you look down on yourself and the more you look down on yourself the more you waste your potentials and not do exploit. 

Remember that imitation brings about limitation, so don't limit yourself by yourself. Be yourself, pursue your dream and dare to succeed. You will!!!

I pray for you that in the Name that is above every other, that whatever that is causing you pains and tears in secret and quietly, that the fire of God will roast them instantly now in the name of Jesus.

*OUR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PROGRAME*.

By way of encouraging ourselves to start the year with God we started a prayer and fasting programme to enable us to wait on God and we outlined the following as a guide.

1. Start with prayer and fasting. It may be for 7, 21 or 40 days with fasting lasting as much as 6:00am to 12:00, 03:00, or 06:00pm.
 
2. Choose the one that will be convinient for you. The most important thing here is consistency and total commitment to do it well and to the glory of God.

3. Make sure that you are not doing it to please any man or under duress or compulsion or as a ritual.

4. Read the bible as much as you can not as a literature but with some level of reflection.

5. Try to go through this reflection daily as it will help in your spiritual growth. And God helping me I will be dropping some prayer point as well.

6. Pray the prayer points and don't just read them please.

It is my earnest desire that we continue to grow in the Lord until we all grow to full maturity in Christ.

*PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY* (*OUR PROGRAMME TO START THE YEAR*)

1. Anointing to recover all that i have lost, fall on me now in Jesus name.

2. Lord restore to me all that the cankerworm, palmerworm, caterpillar, locust and host of others have eaten in Jesus name.

3. Lord frustrate the plans of the wicked over my life in Jesus name.

4. You powers that says that i will not have favor from anywhere. You are a liar die in Jesus name.

5. Powers fighting those that are supposed to help me so that they will not help you. Die in Jesus name.

Lord, i receive grace to do exploits on earth in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen!!!!!!!
