*Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good*.

Yesterday we were trying to look at the benefits of planning and we said that when you plan that what to do per time becomes known and easy to follow and today we will be looking at another major advantage of planning which is remaining focused.

Planning helps us to remain focus in life. Have you noticed that God did not miss what to do per time? He was always on point as to what to do and was focused on them. So there was no distraction in what he was doing.

One of the major benefits of remaining focus is the avoidance of distraction and one the the major problems of man in achieving His goal is distraction. The moment distraction is taken away success steps in. 

For me the amount of success that is recorded by any man is dependent on the amount of distraction that one is able to avoid. 

In life there are many things that tends to distract us. They can distract us because there are very attractive. The truth of the matter is that they are everywhere and it is only when we give them attention that they become distraction. The truth of the matter is that they are too attractive to distract us but we have the liberty not to be distracted.

I pray for you that in this year anyone, kingdom or powers working hard to gather mourners in your house will never live to see it come to pass in Jesus name Amen

*OUR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PROGRAME*.

By way of encouraging ourselves to start the year with God we started a prayer and fasting programme to enable us to wait on God and we outlined the following as a guide.

1. Start with prayer and fasting. It may be for 7, 21 or 40 days with fasting lasting as much as 6:00am to 12:00, 03:00, or 06:00pm.
 
2. Choose the one that will be convinient for you. The most important thing here is consistency and total commitment to do it well and to the glory of God.


3. Make sure that you are not doing it to please any man or under duress or compulsion or as a ritual.

4. Read the bible as much as you can not as a literature but with some level of reflection.

5. Try to go through this reflection daily as it will help in your spiritual growth. And God helping me I will be dropping some prayer point as well.

6. Pray the prayer points and don't just read them please.

It is my earnest desire that we continue to grow in the Lord until we all grow to full maturity in Christ.

*PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY* (*OUR PROGRAMME TO START THE YEAR*)

1. Lord, as I pray now give me the grace to be focused in life in Jesus name.

2. Lord, as i begin to pray give me the grace of self discipline so that i can discipline myself in the face of distraction in Jesus.

3. Lord, in this year may all my activities be productive in Jesus name.

4. Lord, in this year help me to help myself in Jesus name Amen.

5. Father, as i pray give the grace to be a better person this year in Jesus name.
