*MAKE PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP A HABIT PT4*

*And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there. Acts 16:13*.

Yesterday we looked at the riverside and we tried to see that it was a matter of settlement not that they went to the river to do another thing.

Today we will be looking at what they did by the riverside. The bible made us to understand that they prayed there and that was their custom to do that.

They prayed because they knew the importance of prayer. They prayed because they needed God's intervention in their lives. They prayed because they recognised the place of God in their lives.

We were also told that prayer was their custom. It means that it is something that they do often. The frequency was so much that it has to become part of them so these people are a people that never played with the Sabbath and prayers.

To say that it is a custom amongst them is to say that it is something that they take pleasure in doing hence it has become part of their life. Infact prayers has become their life style. It is to say that it has become so common that everybody and everyone can pray freely and without compulsion.

It has become so frequent and common amoung them that they use it in all occasions and practice it everywhere. It can be repeated anytime any day and anywhere. Hence, one can authoritatively say that it became a way, an established manner and a habitual practice.

Do you really pray? How often do you pray? Are you aware that the bible said we should pray without ceasing? 1 These 5:17. How to you see prayer? Remember that if you don't pray you will become a prey.
