*SPIRITUAL CHECK UP PT36*

*Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them*. 
*Acts 16:6-10*.

We have seen the conditions with which to stand in the presence of God as stated by king David.1. Cleans hands.2. Pure heart.3. Not idolatrous. 4. Not swearing deceitfully. So today we will be asking our prophet Elijah what it means to stand in the presence of God. Let us go!.

Before we consult prophet Elijah we must ask ourselves this simple questions. 1. Having known what it takes to stand in the presence of God are we ready to do them so that we can stand in the presence of the Lord? 2. Are we ready to do them just to stand in the presence of God and then return to our old selves or continue to do them so that we can have a relationship with God.

We must allow our standing in the presence of the Lord to move us into having a relationship with God. Like Elijah whom we always hear not once or twice saying"before God whom stand" so for him it is not just standing there once and for all but once and again.

*And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom i stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word." 1Kgs 17:1*.

For Elijah the presence of the Lord is a place of power and authority so to stand in the presence of the Lord is to command powers and to have authority. To command things into being. To make impossible things possible.

For Elijah also to stand in the presence of God is to seek security and be secured. Whenever Elijah has issues in life what he usually do is to run to the presence of God so where do you go when things don't go your way?

Where are you standing and before whom are you standing? For Elijah the best place to stand is to stand before God. What of you? Are you scared of standing before God or not interested in standing before God. If you are scared or not interested in standing before God my dear your life is at risk. Chech your lifestyle and make the right choice of where to stand now.

I pray for you today that In the midst of trouble and tribulations. Trials and temptations that you and your household will be preserved. In the midst of adversity and famine may you receive divine supply and surprises in the. Name of God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
