*SPIRITUAL CHECK UP PT25*

*Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them*.

I just discovered another thing that David did that made him found God to the point that God would call David a man after His own heart. No wonder it is said that information brings about transformation. Take a look at this.

*O God, You are my God; early will i seek you; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Ps 63:1-2*.

First of all he acknowledged the fact that God is his God and accepted the fact that God will continue to be his God and not just that he went further to say that instead of him to look for another God that he would rather try to understand the one that he has already more and that the earlier he does that the better for him.

That word early tells us how desperate David was to find God. The word early means that he always put the search to know and understand God first before any other thing. It means that he was not ready to rest until he finds God.

For David nothing is significant enough to distract him from his search to know God more and more. If you go through psalms you will understand what am trying to say. He would rather seek to understand this God more rather than jumping from pillar to post trying to figure out another god or why God should be his God.

For David he was not ready to wait for someone else to remind him about God or what to do for God. For David it is either God or God there is nothing like alternative in his desire to see God.

He went further to say "My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land" that is to say that even when there seems to be no answer, even when it seems that i cannot find you, even when it seems that am tired i will keep pushing until i finally find you.

For me David was searching for God the way you and i look for money. You know how we look for money to the point that the more money we get the more we will want to get. We keep pursuing money inorder to have it more than anyone else. That is the way David pursued God and that is the way he is advising you and i to do.

Some of us can go to any length to make this money, some even go further to kill inorder to make money. In our own case David is advising us to kill pride, sin, distractions even laziness to read the bible and nuggets that we receive everyday and the likes that are preventing us from searching for God more.

Do you like money and how much do you like it? Your love for money and that of God which one is higher? I know that you will say "God" but why do you pursue money more than the knowledge and love of God? The good news is that it is not too late to start. The best time is now and your time starts now.

I pray for you that your love for God will not grow cold and that you will not be disappointed in your pursuit of God and as you search for God, may God give you a revelation that you make you an uncommon man and give you the grace to operate in the supernatural by the power in the name of Jesus.
