*SPIRITUAL CHECK UP PT22*

*Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them*. 
*Acts 16:6-10*.

We have heard from king David and prophet Jeremiah on how to seek God and find him and today we want to be looking at the hows we can actually do that and succeed.

Today we are making appeal to Jesus Himself to teach us and He has this to say to you and i.


*"But seek first his* *kingdom and his* *righteousness, and all* *these things will be* *given to you as well*" *Matthew 6:33* (NIV).

I believe why they were preferred was that they as a community put God first. They had alternatives to take to but they jettisoned all that and went in search of God. They gave they all to make sure that they find God and God gave them more than they desired.

Knowing full well that we cannot do without God. That is to say that there is no alternative to God.

"*I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing*."
*John 15:5* (NIV)

Is God your alternative? Do you only take to God when other means has failed you? Is God your second choice or only choice? Remember that when you put God first other things will follow suit.

I pray for you that you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That you will bring forth fruit in all seasons. May you never wither and may God prosper all that you do in the name of Jesus.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again. He was victorious for you and i.
