*JOB WELL DONE PT3*

*However, it seemed good to Silas to remain there*. 
*Acts* *15:34*.

Having done much in the church, Judas thought it wise to return to Jerusalem but Silas would not return with him rather he choose to remain there even after Judas had gone back to Jerusalem.

Can you imagine that Silas has fallen in love not just with work of God but also with the people of God. He decided that not all of them should go back to Jerusalem since there are enough hands in Jerusalem.

Although the reason for his staying back was not given but it won't be far fetched if we decide to dig deep into why he choose to remain behind.

For me I believe that his love for God and the brethren prompted his action. Secondly I believe that he is a man that believes in continuity. Because the more he stay with them the more rooted in God they will become.

I still believe that it is not far from understanding the people and their needs. Since he had been with them he must have known how to attend to their spiritual needs for their spiritual growth.

I also believe that the people disposition to the word of God was also part of the reason he had to stay behind. Having seen their love for God and His messages.

I also believe that the rate at which the church was growing also contributed to his desire to be with them for more time so that those joining them newly can also benefit from the wealth of their teaching.

I also believe that there is a rubost relationship between him and his congregation hence the people were not ready to let him go and the liveliness of the people would not let him leave them too.

Relationship is a two way thing and for any relationship to succeed it must be mutually beneficial. It must not be a one way thing. That they love Silas and that Silas wants to stay with them is all understanding and mutual collaboration. 

I pray that the passion and zeal to succeed in life and ministry will not be lacking in our lives and may God lubricate it with his love and mercy so that we will succeed in life and succeed well in Jesus name Amen.
