*FAITH NUGGET*

*SPIRITUAL CHECK UP PT2*

*Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing*." . 
*Acts 15:36*.

Yesterday we started looking at the reason why Paul and Barnabas have to return to Antioch the place of their former assignment and we said that it was to check on them to see how they are faring and so today i pulled over at the door post of bro James and he has this to tell us.

*Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20*.

Sinners are those in the church while those that does not acknowledge God as God are called pagans. So you can now see the need for a check up.  

There are variety of people to check up on.
1. Those wandering from the truth. What is the truth? The knowing and acknowledging Jesus as personal Lord and saviour. Those drifting from Jesus. Those by reason of what they have seen or heard or challenges of life have started to doubt the reality of the truth.

2. Another group that need check up are those that were once walking with truth but somehow have contacted some errors that have pushed them to become sinners. 
✓ Those that they have confused that everybody does it and so they should be involved. 
✓ Those that they are mocking and being called old school and as such have decided to change.
✓ Those that are told to give to Caesar what belonged to Caesar (native doctors) and to God what belonged to God. 
✓ Those that have been told that "if you can't beat them then you join them. 
✓ Those that are told that man must not live on bread alone but with some other things as variety they say is the spice of life. 
✓ Those that are told to do it now and repent later because God understands.
✓ Even those that are being told not to bother about repentance that it is not necessary since they can still fall into sin.

There are so many errors flying here and there in the body of Christ and it requires constant check up to keep one in check. A spiritual check is to ensure that you don't break up with God.

I pray that God will take away whatever that will or is capable of taking us away from Him so that we will continue to flourish in the house of our God and that as we flourish it will win for us favour from God and man through Christ our Lord Amen.
