*EXHORTED AND STRENGTHENED PT24*

*Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many words*.  
*Acts 15:32*.

Yesterday we started taking a look at the life of the men, Judas and Silas. We saw that they were just ordinary men like you and i but by the grace of God coupled with their cooperation with that grace which was born out of their zeal to serve God with what they had through the church and their fellow men did extra ordinary things.

Judas and Silas were entrusted by the apostles to deliver some things relating to circumcision in the church but they did not end there rather they stayed back to compliment the work of Paul and Barnabas and probably it was because of this work that made Paul to make Silas his partner in his mission.

Even those that had the constant preaching of Paul and Barnabas were glad of the help of Judas and Silas, the diversity of the gifts of ministers is of use to the church.

They tried to confirm them, by bringing them to see more reason both for their faith in Christ and their obedience to him to confirm their choice of Christ and their resolutions for Christ.

They exhorted them to persevere, and to the particular duties required of them: to quicken them to that which is good, and direct them in it.

They also comforted the brethren.
They ensured that they contributed to the confirming of them on how to conform to making or seeking the things that makes for the joy of the Lord which is and will be their strength. 

From the lives of Judas and Silas we can see that the work of the Lord or ministry is not about competition, it is not about how you feel about a subject matter, it is not about what you like or think is right but seeking the glory of God and the betterment of humanity.

I pray that those who are confused in ministry and those that are already working in error in ministry will not succeed to make us tread in their path of confusion and error and may God take away whatever that will make us to be confused or walk in error in ministry and lead us in the way of goodness and mercy through Christ our Lord Amen.
