*EXHORTED AND STRENGTHENED PT8*


*Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many words*.  

*Acts 15:32*.


I was privileged by the help of the Holy Spirit to see this and i consider it worth sharing in relations to what we are looking at as the reason why the offices of Judas and Silas were mentioned.

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews had this to say on why the offices of Judas and Silas was mentioned.


*That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Heb 6:12*.


You see the bible is not about only "thou shall not" there is also "thou shall"

The writer said we should *imitate those" so there are those to imitate in this our pilgrimage to heaven because they have passed through whatever we are passing through right now and the bible said that through faith and patience they conquered.


You can see that Judas and Silas were presented to us as a model to look up to. Paul and Barnabas had worked and left but Judas and Silas had to remain behind because they saw a work that needs to be done in the church.


One of the things that we must learn from them is that whenever we see any work that needs to be done in church that we should not hesitate to do so as advised by the writer of the letter to the Hebrews.


The writer amongst many other advices contained in this verse started by saying that we should not be *sluggish* which mean that this clarion call to imitate those that have gone before us and have made it requires urgency..


Who are those that you are using as your standard? Will it take you to where you are going to? When it comes to going to heaven and making it in life we should be careful of the people we look up to as our standard because these are the major reasons why we are here on earth.


I pray that God will deliver us from the wrong people as mentors and may we not be the reason why somebody's destiny and salvation will be ruined and may God do something in our lives that will bring about the betterment of our lives through Christ our Lord Amen.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again.
