*FAITH NUGGET*

*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT41*

*I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service*. *Rom 12:1*.

Today i want us to take a look at some people that made sacrifice and see if we can deduce anything from the motive behind the sacrifice. We learn by example.

*Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."* *Gen 22:2*.

Is God wicked? How can you tell a man that has waited for almost a hundred years without a child to kill the only one that you just gave him? Is that a way of making his children as numerous as the stars as you promised him by taking the "little" that you gave him? BUT in all Abraham obeyed God.

*And Saul said, "They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.*"
So Samuel said:

*"Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams*. *1Sam 15;1-15*.

Saul had everything to sacrifice to God if need be but he disobeyed God by taking what God asked him not to take and God does not need all in the pretence of sacrificing to God.

*By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks*. *Heb 11:4*.

To Abraham nothing is too much to give to God even if he had to loose everything to God. To Saul anything goes and to Abel it is only right to offer to God what is right unlike Cain that offered what is left. 

To Shedrack and co it meant nothing to them to offer even their lives as long as God is not disobeyed and is glorified and to you and i where do we stand?

I pray the good Lord to meet us with the blessings of goodness and mercy, may He set a crown of favour upon our head and may He break every yoke of limitations upon our lives through Christ our Lord Amen.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again. He was victorious for you and i.
