*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT40*

*I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service*. *Rom 12:1*.

We have looked at sacrifice generally and come to think that we have concluded it yesterday but today the Lord has given us room to continue and today we will just take a look at one thing that is better than sacrifice before we take a look at the benefits of sacrifice.

*So Samuel said: "Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams*. *1 Sam 15:22.

Sometimes our closeness to God make us take certain things for granted. Sometimes too we tend to use our human judgement against the command and will of God and sometimes too we fell that we can do whatever we like and then appease God with sacrifice.

Sacrifice is not doing what is prohibited, it is not about maltreating or hurting others carelessly because you have God behind you by sacrifice.

Sacrifice is not meant to buy God over, sacrifice is not giving God what he wants for you to do what you like. Samuel has told us that to obey is better than to sacrifice.

To obey simply means:-
To comply with the commands, orders or instructions of God. To obey also means to meet the requirements of law, moral, political or municipal. 

It is all about submitting to God's will for our lives. Sacrifice is all about pleasing God in all ramifications and seeing to the good of other and making the world a better place.

I pray God to answer us whenever we call upon him. May he look with love upon all the daily sacrifices we make to please Him. May He deliver us in trouble and honor us through Christ our Lord Amen.
