*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT38*

*I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service*. *Rom 12:1*.

We have succeeded in taking a look at sacrifice generally and what makes a sacrifice holy and acceptable but today we are looking at what makes a sacrifice living. 

And he concluded by saying that it must be reasonable sacrifice offered on the alter of service so this kind of sacrifice is not about what you have but sacrificing yourself.

Jesus sacrificed himself for us on the alter of calvary but he is not calling us to kill ourselves but to serve him with our all.
How do we offer this kind of sacrifice?  
Through:+

1. *OBEDIENCE*. The book of Ecclesiastes gives us all that we need to know about obeying God. This kind o living sacrifice involves bringing to God what pleases him. 

This kind sacrifice expressess that we place God above all else in our lives. God is interested most times of how we value Him in our lives and not necessarily in the sacrifice itself.

It also entails Submitting our will to God's will. To be "a living sacrifice" is to be fully at God's disposal to be available and willing to obey God in whatever He asks or commands.

*Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God and keep His commandments. For this is man's all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil*. *Ecc 12:13-14*.

2. *TOTAL SURRENDER TO GOD*. We must surrender everything totally to God to enable him use us the way he wants.

3. *OUR THOUGHTS MUST BE PURIFIED*. We must get rid of those thoughts that does not glorify God. We must be careful the kind of words that we use as it is an expression of what is in our hearts.

Are you ready to offer yourselve as a living sacrifice not as a dead. sacrifice? Remember that bro Paul appealed to us in telling us this just to show that it is very important.

May God who offered His only son for us to live grant us the grace to have full benefits that comes from the death of His only begotten son through Christ our Lord Amen.
