*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT38*
*I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service*. *Rom 12:1*.
Yesterday we saw what sacrifice is all about and how to make sacrifices and today we are going to be looking at what bro Paul meant by acceptable sacrifice.
If there is an acceptable sacrifice it means that there is an unacceptable sacrifice as well but we are concerned only with that of acceptable sacrifice.
For a sacrifice to be acceptable it must be,
1 *WHOLE*. For a sacrifice to be whole it must be Complete; entire; not defective or imperfect. It must contain the total amount or number, or the entire thing. In the old testament it is usually said to be without blemish.
To be without blemish simply means that it must have no element of deformity; or scar or defect it must have no mark of imperfection from it's originality.
2. *VOLUNTARY*. It must be voluntary and not under compulsion as bro Paul will also tell us that it is only when it is voluntary and from our heart of hearts that God will express his love towards it.
*So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver*. *2 Cor 9:7*.
3. *RIGHT*. Whatever we are sacrificing to God must be something right and not what is left. Many of us prefer to give God our spare time, our left over of our substance etc.
*TO BE CONTINUED*!!!
May God give us the grace to make the right sacrifices like Abel. May He remember all our offerings, and accept our sacrifice. May He grant us all our heart's desire, and fulfill all our purpose. Through Christ our Lord Amen.
Good day beloved and do have a blessed day. Peace be with you.
To all of us celebrating anything today this is wishing you the best.
*REMEMBER*, That it is persistence that breaks resistance.
