*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT37*

*I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service*. *Rom 12:1*.

We started by looking at what it takes to be a good apostle from where we saw that some of our brethren of old rejoiced and were encouraged by the word that they heard and we started digging deep to know why the word of God gave them joy when it doesn't even do anything to us in our time.

We were helped of God to see why the word gave them joy and we have dealt with it extensively and today we are going to answer just one question "HOW" as bro James told us that it is not just about knowing or doing but that it also has to do with continuing.

We won't be doing ourselves any good if we know what to do but don't know how to do it or how to go about it hence we asked brother Paul and he told us that the how is to sacrifice our bodies as a living sacrifice.

Christianity as you and i know is all about sacrifice, infact not just Christianity but life itself is all about sacrifice and it is said that a life of sacrifice without sacrifice is a contradiction. 

But before then we must first of all know the true meaning of sacrifice which is:-

Giving to the Lord whatever He requires of us, our time, our talents (and our energies) our treasures (earthly possessions), to further His work by all means here on earth.

Sacrifice also entails to suffer loss of something, give up something, to renounce something etc especially for what one believes in.

So sacrifices entails,
1. To make a daily decision that our desires must die so that we can be free to do with my bodies what God desires of us.

2. Die to sin and live for righteousness. To give our eyes, your tongue, our hands and feet and other parts of our bidy to do righteousness, not sin.

3. pursuing God's righteousness through faith.

I pray that God will give us the grace to make the necessary sacrifices for our salvation and wellness through Christ our Lord Amen.
