*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT35*

*But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does*. 
*James* *1:22-23*.

On Sunday we saw bro James telling us about what it takes to proof what is good. He told us that if we hear the word of God and do what the word tells us not not just hearing and doing nothing about it that it births freedom and blessings.

Doing what the word tells us is one condition to enter into freedom and blessings but there is another condition that he gave that I want us to take a look at today. He said "and CONTINUE" in the perfect word of freedom.

So today having looked at doing the word we are going to be looking at what it actually takes to continue in the word as we have seen that continuity is very important if we want freedom and blessings.

What does it mean to continue?

1. To abide for any time indefinitely.
2. To last; to be durable; to endure for a long time or to be permanent.
3. To persevere; to be steadfast or constant in any course.

Did you remember what Jesus said to those following him? Now hear it
*Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed*;
*John 8:31**(KJV)

You can see now that apart from making you free and blessed Jesus added that it makes you his disciple. You can now see that there are many blessings in the hearing, doing and continuing in the word of God. 

Bro James did not say if you scream during the word.

He did not say once you do what the word says.

He did not say if you shout. But if you continue so it is not about doing only but also about continuing because continuity will bring about relationship which will eventually lead to loving God even deeply.

I pray that God will give us the grace to continue to fellowship with Him in love and through that love may God conquer all our enemies through Christ our Lord Amen.
