*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT26*

*When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement*.  
*Acts 15:30-40*.

We are still looking at why the word of God that they heard birthed joy and encouragement in their lives and we have been making appeals to St Paul for more clarification and today he has given us another reason why the word birthed joy and encouragement in their lives.

*And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God*. *Roman 12:2*.

From the epistle of St Paul you will agree with me that these people were 

1. Not ready to continue to with their former ways of life. They were determined for a change of life and the message did not make it burdensome for them.

2. Ready to be transformed by the word of God. Transformation is something that effects or able to effect a change of form or state.

3. They were ready to renew their mind. To renew their mind simply means to make new, to renovate, to transform, to remove what is bad and input what is good, to change from the love of the world and all that is in it to the love of God and his law. To fill the heart with holy affections.

May God give us the grace to be able to transform our lives for good and to attract everything that is good into our lives through Christ our Lord Amen.
