*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT24*

*When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement*.  
*Acts 15:30-40*.

Yesterday we started looking at the activities of "certain men" and we were able to see why they were called certain men and in the cause of that we saw that the reason why they were called certain men were 1. Status quo. 2. Misunderstanding etc so today we are going to be seeing more of the reasons why they were called"certain men"

3. Over zealousness. To be zealous is good but to be over zealous is bad. Zealousness is a motivation to do more but over zealousness is taking the whole things out of context. Over zealousness make you think that you are better than others. Over zealousness makes you think that you are the only one that is right. It also make one to believe that nobody can do it apart from you and you alone.

4. Segregation. The different denominations that we have today in Christianity is all about certain men. The bible said that they went out of us. So matter what you do for them they will always go out of us and they will not only go out but cause confusion as well.

5. No backing. The apostles said "to whom we gave no such commandment". Did you notice something? They didn't say "they have no heaven's backing" they said we, so they had no root, no background, no father, they started from nowhere, no authoritative backing yet they want to be an authority. Can you imagine.

So it is either they are succeeding them because they too succeeded others or they are acting on their own without foundation and as such they were called certain men because they lack identity. They may claim to be called Christians because of the glory of Christianity but that is not what they are. They are "certain men".

I pray that God will help us to stand on the solid rock of salvation so that the salvation wrought by Jesus will not be in vain in our lives through Christ our Lord Amen.

Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave.
