*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT23*

*When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement*.  
*Acts 15:30-40*.

Did you remember how we got here? Let me refresh your memory. The text that we started with started with "certain men" did you remember now? It was these "certain men" that were insisting that the new converts get circumcised according to the law of Moses.

The bible has made it clear to us why these men were called certain men and why they did what they did, now see!

*Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law" to whom we gave no such commandment*

These are the problems in the church today, many going out because they think that they have seen the light and as such unsettle others mind in a bid to make them see the light which they think that they have seen. What could be the cause of all these?.

1. Status quo. The church as an organisation is dynamic and as such flows with and by the leading of the Holy Spirit but some people will always want the status quo to be mentained. 

It is only in God that as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall it be apart from that every other thing is subject to change. Imagine in the era of Jesus and the Holy Spirit some people were still talking about the law of Moses.

2. Misunderstanding of facts. Some people take facts or correctness for truth. The evidence may be right the fact may be correct but not true that is why in science every fact(hypothesis) is subject to 1. Hypothesis. 2. Observation. 3. Experimentation. and finally Result analysis.
The correctness of anything is not the same as being true. 

The evidence presented by potiphar's wife was correct but it was not true because Joseph was innocent of the accusation.

These men may be good in observing the laws of Moses and as much as I know that the law of Moses is not bad or out of place in itself I still know that there is more to the laws of Moses, that is the blessings in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our saviour.

I pray that the enemies of our faith will not succeed in deceiving us out of faith through Christ our Lord Amen.
