*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT19*
*When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement*.
*Acts 15:30-40*.
For sometime now we have been looking at the mind and today we will still look at some aspect of the mind.
*"whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them*.
The mind is the seat of affection. Whatever that affects a man starts from affection. To like something or not to like anything starts from the mind so you can see that the god of this age was very calculative in blinding the mind.
The blinding of the mind is worse than physical blindness because Bartemaeus was blind yet he could recognise the presence of Jesus while the Pharacees and the Sadducees were claiming to be close to God yet blinded from the salvation brought by God through His son.
So whether to grow in love with the gospel or to develop hatred like so many of us have already done for the gospel all starts from the mind. So the mind is blinded so that.
✓ You will not have passion for the gospel.
✓ Embrace the gospel.
✓ So that we don't grow in love with the gospel and God.
✓ So that we won't have the desire to do good and embrace good virtues.
✓ And ultimately like St Paul has already told us "so that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ we will not see.
You can now see why people argue the authenticity of the bible. When next people tells you that the bible is a fiction or a history book or ask who was there when the bible was written know that the god of this age has blinded their mind.
How is your love for the bible and the word of God? Has the god of this age blinded your mind too? What of the first love that you had for the bible and the word of God and the zeal for fellowship and worship? Are they still there?
I pray that whatever that has affected our love for God and His word be consumed by fire and our first love for God. Fellowship and worship be restored through Christ our Lord Amen.
Good day beloved and do have a blessed day.
To all of us celebrating anything today this is wishing you the best.
*REMEMBER*, That it takes information to avoid deformation.
