*ACTS OF GOOD APOSTLES PT17*

*When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement*.  
*Acts 15:30-40*.

The other day we started looking at why the word of the Lord that we hear almost everyday if not everyday does not birth joy and encouragement in our lives the way it did to the people of old and we consulted St Paul who told us that:-

*"whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them*. 

And we tried to take a look at the mind and darkness and today we want to take a look at the mind in a more serious dimension. Remember that we learnt that our mind is our might and that our minds is like the central processing unit of the computer. 

Today we will continue to look at why the mind is the subject of the attack. A critical look at the mind will tell you that the mind is where descison making takes place, the descison either to accept the word of God or not takes place in the mind so the mind is attacked to avoid one making sound descison that will guarantee salvation.

The mind also is where the intention of whatever we do originates from and whatever one does in life is judged by his or her intention by God. So because their intention was to receive the word with all their heart it then birthed joy and encouragement in their lives.

The question that we must ask ourselves today is, what is our intention towards the word of God? What kind of descison do we take anytime we want to hear the word or anytime that the word comes our way? If your intention is right and your descison well made i bet you the word of God will birth joy and encouragement in your life.

I pray the good Lord to give us the right disposition towards His words in our life so that the word of God that we hear will be a blessing to us through Christ our Lord Amen.
