I want to believe that Mr Nicodemus visiting Jesus at night was well calculated and divinely arranged because the discussion that he had with Jesus wouldn't have happened had he not made that visit by night because of so many engagements on the part of Jesus which would have cut the story short.

In this verse He told Mr Nicodemus why men refuse to accept the gift that God has already given to them, the mission of the gift is to pull people out of darkness but still men prefer to remain the way they were(state of sin) which Jesus refers to as darkness.

There is one thing i know about God and that is that God does not always introduce Himself rather He allows His works to do that for Him. How i wish Jesus would go ahead to tell Mr Nicodemus that "I am the light of the world but no he allowed Mr Nicodemus to find out by himself.

He said that "this is the condemnation that "the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light," and he went ahead to tell us why men prefer darkness to light. Is that not a good expo? So that you and i will not miss heaven? And why do we prefer to remain in darkness rather than light?because according to Jesus our deeds are evil and we are comfortable in it.

I agree with you totally that change is difficult but when you see a positive change i believe that no matter how difficult it may be that it is worth embracing but in this case we are not refusing to change because change is difficult but we are refusing to change because of our evil ways of life.
