*CHARACTER BETRAYS PT4* 

*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden*'?" 
*Gen 3:1*


When the serpent which we have said that came for a mission which it eventually accomplished was introduced i told us that it's mission was born out of jealousy. Imagine the serpent seeing the grace and favour of God upon man which it can never boast of or experience. Imagine it imagining or seeing the peace and beauty of the whole creation and the authority given to man to control it, why will it not be jealous.

All these goodies that God personally prepared for man was what the serpent was not happy about not that man offended it and to also bring man to its own level it has to do something that will make man to be in no relationship at all with his maker and then it succeeded through the woman. The moment that was done the scene was altered the wrath and curse of God was released upon what God cherished most before then. Man.

The serpent worked so hard on the woman to make sure that the peace of the creation was disturbed and its beauty stained and sullied, the relationship between man and God destroyed, and the glory of Eden depart from them. There is no gain saying that the serpent is wicked because that will in itself be an understatement. I mean the serpent is really wicked.

No wonder the chapter started by introducing it as a cunning being, introducing it by its character because your character is your dress and the way you are dressed is the way you will be addressed and if the serpent is so dressed as cunning dear run from any appearance of the serpent.

It was distinguished from other animals to let you and i know that it was a different kind of creation, a creation whose mission is to work against its creator. A creation that choose to rebel as against being obedient that it is called to be. A creation that refused to submit to the will of the creator rather work against it 

IN WHATEVER YOU DO IN LIFE IT IS YOUR CHARACTER THAT WILL DEFINE YOU.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord will make the wickedness of the wicked never o find expression in your life and family by the power in Jesus name.
