*CHARACTER BETRAYS PT2* 

*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden*'?" 
*Gen 3:1*

Yesterday we saw that the visit of the serpent was unsolicited for and and uncalled for yet it came and we said that because the serpent is on a mission that it will always come to fulfill it's mission whether you call for it or not and we concluded that the mission of the serpent is to cause separation in our relationship with our maker.

The passage started as we saw yesterday by introducing the character of the serpent and not the personality of the serpent. You can never be different from your character because your character is who you are that is why you cannot behave it and not become it and what is it's character "cunning"

To be cunning simply means to have the necessary knowledge in getting what is wanted in a clever and often deceptive way. From this definition you can rightly see that the serpent wanted something and what it wanted was not the good of the host but the destruction of the host 

For you to be able to deceive somebody the knowledge of who the person is, the interest of the person and the friends of the person must be put into consideration. For somebody to be able to deceive you the person must know your strength and weaknesses and then use it against you.

We must be careful of what we want in life, we must be careful of those around us and we must be careful of those we talk to because these are the instruments in the hands of the serpent. Not every visitor is a friend and not all friends are friendly. That somebody is with you does not mean that he is for you. Be wise.

I pray for you and with you that any unwanted visitor that is in your life whose mission is to ruin you, your carrier or business or family may not leave to see that mission come to pass by the power in the name of Jesus.
