*BEGIN WITH GOD PT16*

*Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good*. 
*Gen 1:4-25*.

We have succeeded in seeing how God planned his work before he began the beginning and we said that apart from planning that He also was focused on what he was doing and by the help of the Holy Spirit we were able to see all these and even went further to buttress them and their importance in our journey in life as a way of encouraging is and in ensuring that we act like God. Amen!!!

Another of the things that God did that we will be looking at today is persistent. Like we said the other time it takes persistent to break resistance. There are certain things that you need to do again and again in order to achieve your goal. In such situations giving up is not an option. I repeat"giving up is not an option"

Persistent simply means you refusing to give up until the situation gives up. Persistence means not allowing what you see or hear to discourage you, persistence means looking down on the obstacles and looking up to the pinnacle, persistence means seeing reasons why it should and will work not why it will not work.

In life, apart from certain things that may tend to distract you the enemy the devil will also tend to plant people around you who will tell you the number of those that tried what you are doing and failed. They will also make you see reasons why it will not work, they will also try to make the their voice to be louder than that the of those encouraging you.

These people take advantage of closeness to you to ruin your future for you. Am not unmindful of the fact that some of them so that out if ignorance, but many do it out of selfish reasons and slot also do it just for you to become idle like them why some so as to have an edge over you because they want to proof that they are better than you by all means.

Don't forget that every human being including you and i are selfish beings and would want to take advantage of situations hence the bible told us that, 
"*A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks*". *LK 6:45*.

*OUR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PROGRAME*.

By way of encouraging ourselves to start the year with God we started a prayer and fasting programme to enable us to wait on God and we outlined the following as a guide.

1. Start with prayer and fasting. It may be for 7, 21 or 40 days with fasting lasting as much as 6:00am to 12:00, 03:00, or 06:00pm.
 
2. Choose the one that will be convinient for you. The most important thing here is consistency and total commitment to do it well and to the glory of God.


3. Make sure that you are not doing it to please any man or under duress or compulsion or as a ritual.

4. Read the bible as much as you can not as a literature but with some level of reflection.

5. Try to go through this reflection daily as it will help in your spiritual growth. And God helping me I will be dropping some prayer point as well.

6. Pray the prayer points and don't just read them please.

It is my earnest desire that we continue to grow in the Lord until we all grow to full maturity in Christ.

*PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY* (*OUR PROGRAMME TO START THE YEAR*)

1. Father we bend before you today to thank you for the journey thus far, knowing full well that it is by 
Your faithfulness and mercy that you have brought us this far in Jesus name.

2. Lord, i thank you once and again knowing that the good work which you have started in our lives that you will bring it to completion.

3. Lord by your grace and power, I stand against every evil pronouncement against my life and family i also pray that no evil pronouncement will find expression in my life and family in Jesus name.

4. Lord, by the privilege of grace, I come against every evil conspiracy of darkness against my life and family in Jesus name 

5. O God my father i ask that You send your Angels to lead me all through this year less i dash my foot against a stone in the name of Jesus.
