*Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil*." 
*Gen.3.4*.


Can you imagine the serpent telling the woman that she will not surely die that God was only telling her lies that the moment she eats if the tree that she will know that God was actually telling her a lie that the only thing that will happen to her was that her eyes will be opened.

 The woman actually believed the serpent against believing in God and indeed her eyes were opened. Now let us see who the liar really is, did the eyes of the woman get opened when she ate of the tree? Yes. Then why did God tell her not to at of the tree since it will make her eyes to be opened?

 I continue to tell myself that experience is the worst teacher because many people never survived what they experienced so as to take correction and many people get frustrated through what they experienced thereby making them lose hope in life making what they experienced to be of no effect.

 What the woman never knew was that the serpent was twisting the word of God and the instructions of God. God had said eating from the tree would bring death, but Satan said it would bring enlightenment , authority like that of God, fame, independence and power.

 Their eyes were indeed opened just as the serpent said but not to wisdom as said by the serpent, not to honour and authority but to nakedness and shame, to fear and total separation from the love of God, they did not become like God in His goodness and holiness as they were told but they became sinful and lost their fellowship with God which God never wanted their eyes to be opened to.

They lost the dominion mandate given to them by God. They experienced what God never wanted them to experience because prevention is still better than cure but they allowed the devil to push them into that neva they never believed in God but in the devil.

I pray for you and with you that whatever that will try to displace you from your God given position in life will hit the rock of ages and be shattered for life by the power in the name of Jesus.
