*Happy Sunday beloved*

*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, "You shall not eat of every tree of the garden*'?" 
*Gen.3.1*

The writer of the book of beginning(Genesis) introduced the devil in chapter three and he started by liking him to a cunning serpent that came to claim the dominion that God gave to man for me this is the height of jealousy and man fell for it because he could not discern the intent of the cunning serpent.

From the introduction you will agree with me that the serpent was really and fully prepared to accomplish a purpose and the purpose is to make sure that man offends God so that what God has planned for man will be aborted.

From the introduction we were told that the serpent was more cunning and some translations use the word "more crafty" so today we are going to see if we can find out what it really means to be either crafty or cunning.

To be cunning means to be clever at getting what you want especially by using trickery, sharp thinking, or indirect methods to achieve whatever the individual wants, it simply means using pretence to achieve an evil intention.

On a wider note to be cunning also means to be sly, crafty and deceptive. It means someone who plans carefully to fool others or to gain advantage over them secretly. It is all about being deceitful, trickish, employing stratagems for a bad purpose. All these the devil employed just to make sure that man loses everything.

I pray for you and with you that anyone fighting the blessings of God upon your life will know the shame of defeat by the power in the name of Jesus.
