*Keep standing*

*There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him*." 
*John.3.1 -2*

We are looking at the qualities that stood Mr Nicodemus out among others because according to him there were many that took it upon themselves to search and to know more about Jesus but he was the only one that came to Jesus and when he came he humbled himself to be schooled by Jesus and we pointed out that one of them is open mindedness.

Having said much about open mindedness we will continue to see more today because it made Mr Nicodemus to stand out so today we will be looking at more among many. Today we will be looking at his readiness to learn, Mr Nicodemus did not come to Jesus as an authority of the law but as a student that wants to learn more and indeed he succeeded in learning.

Apart from his readiness to learn he was open to Jesus, yes very open, he was the one that told Jesus that he was part of those that took it upon themselves to study Jesus without pretence, he would have hidden that part and begin to ask Jesus some sarcastic questions just to either make mockery of him to to look for an error in him but he came, opened up to him and sat down to listen to the master.

Let me put it here that to be open minded is not to refuse to question the truth or to compromise the truth but not to have prejudice over the truth, not to base everything about what you have heard but the truth irrespective of what you have heard, seen or told about the person. It is to be fair to the truth and to accept the truth as what it truly is, the truth and nothing more.

Though it was not written in his time bro Paul told the Thessalonian church to test all spirit and i believe that it was the spirit of God that lead Mr Nicodemus to do what he did, to test what he has seen and heard to know whether they are the truths or not and to know whether they are of God.
